Introducing Modula Pi – Industrial Raspberry Pi Platform

Introducing Modula Pi

For a long time, many of our customers have asked the same question:

“Can I use Raspberry Pi in industrial environments more safely and more easily?”

Today, we are happy to officially introduce Modula Pi.

Modula Pi is an industrial modular controller platform built around the Raspberry Pi 5. It combines the flexibility and performance of Raspberry Pi with the reliability and protection needed for real industrial applications.

Please note that this is a DIY kit product.
The Raspberry Pi 5 board itself is not included and must be purchased separately.

One of the biggest challenges during development was the huge variety of Raspberry Pi models and configurations available on the market. Different RAM versions, revisions, supply situations, and future model changes made it difficult for us to create one fixed product that could support every variation.

After thinking about this problem for a long time, we came to a simple conclusion:

Instead of trying to provide every Raspberry Pi variation ourselves, why not let users choose and install their own Raspberry Pi board?

That idea eventually became Modula Pi.

By separating the industrial base system from the Raspberry Pi itself, users now have much more freedom and flexibility when building their own systems.

And thankfully, assembly is extremely simple.

As shown in the video, anyone can assemble the system in just a few minutes without special tools or difficult procedures.

So why not simply use a normal Raspberry Pi directly in the field?

Because real industrial environments are much harsher than hobby environments.

Electrical noise, surges, unstable power, and 24V industrial signals can easily cause problems for standard Raspberry Pi systems. In some cases, a single external fault can permanently damage the CPU board itself.

Modula Pi was designed specifically to solve those problems.

The system features redesigned industrial-grade power circuitry with improved protection against electrical noise and surge conditions. It also includes isolated 24V I/O interfaces that safely separate external industrial signals from the Raspberry Pi core.

At the center of the system is our CFNET modular I/O architecture.

Need more digital inputs? Simply add another module.
Need relay outputs, analog inputs, or communication expansion? Just snap in the modules you need like building blocks.

This makes Modula Pi a great solution for developers and system builders who want the freedom of Raspberry Pi together with the convenience of industrial modular hardware.

Python, Node-RED, C++, AI applications, edge computing — now in a platform designed for real industrial environments.

We are very excited to finally release this project after such a long development process, and we hope many users will build amazing systems with it.
