Description
CWV2 is scheduled for discontinuation. For new projects, please choose the CWR series instead.
Windows CE panel PCs provide a more affordable alternative to the Windows desktop panel PCs, yet still having enough performance and features to make professional user interfaces in a more compact size. Use Microsoft's Visual Studio 2008 Professional to develop software in C++ or C#/VB.NET with the .NET Compact Framework.

FAQ
Q: Why is the CWV2 being discontinued? What are the alternatives?
A: Unfortunately, the main CPU used in the CWV2 has been discontinued by the chip manufacturer. Because this is a core component, we can no longer continue production of the CWV2.
For existing customers, there are two practical alternatives:
CWA Series : This is a fully compatible replacement in terms of functionality. While performance is lower compared to the CWV2, it can be used as a drop-in alternative without major changes.
CWR Series : This option offers significantly higher performance and larger memory capacity. However, the CWR uses a newer operating system, so we strongly recommend verifying that your existing software runs correctly before migrating.
Q: How long will the CWA series be available?
A: The CWA series is based on Microchip MCUs. Microchip is well known in the industrial market for its long-term product availability and conservative end-of-life policy.
The core MCU architecture used in CUBLOC products has been maintained with long-term compatibility over several decades, and devices from the same family continue to be supplied today. This long lifecycle approach is one of the key reasons Microchip MCUs are widely used in industrial control systems. For this reason, the CWA series can be considered a stable and reliable choice for long-term use and maintenance.
